In the initial stage when the center was being raised and constructions were being done, Fr. Lawrence stayed here, and as he was an advocate, he practiced law in the Sundargarh court and went around giving legal aid service to people. His persistence in a difficult place helped the center to grow into what it is now.

After the residence and hall were constructed in the premises of Sanskruti Kendra, Fr. Francis Pereira SVD was appointed as the first Director of the Center. He added some sections in the structures and activated a small museum while and developed the botanical garden and the orchard while conducting some programs.

Sanskruti Kendra being a significant center for the protection, preservation and promotion of tribal culture, two persons were appointed in 2015 with individual responsibilities: Fr. Alex Dungdung SVD for cultural and research while Fr. Ashok Minj SVD for legal aid service. They were barely one year at the center before they were sent for their specialized higher education.

Fr. Ignatius Soreng SVD and Fr. Joseph Pereira SVD joined the center and streamlined the twofold activities of Sanskruti Kendra – Cultural and Research. While Fr. Ignatius, the Director, was responsible for the activities, Fr. Josephe Pereira, being the Assistant Director, took care of the finance.

Fr. Andreas Kerketta SVD joined Fr. Ignatius Soreng in 2017 and stayed full three years as the Assistant Director cum Treasurer. This is the period when the activities of the center began to flourish in various directions, and a lot of activities were done before COVID 19 intervened in a big way.

Fr. Nirmal D. Lawrence SVD joined as the Assistant Director cum Treasurer but COVID-19 had brought to a standstill all activities of the center. During this time only desktop research and some infrastructural development took place before Fr. Nirmal was taken to Pallahara in 2023.

Fr. Ashok Minj SVD joined the center in 2023 as the Assistant Director cum Treasurer but with an independent responsibility of Legal Aid service. As he busied himself with his work attending courts in Rourkela, Rajgangpur and Sundargarh, Fr. Ignatius Soreng was left alone for the activities of the center.
