The Light House Program
The tribal intellectuals meet.
The Light House Program is a unique program initiated by Sanskruti Kendra where the tribal intellectuals such as college lecturers, university professors, writers and poets, educated and employed are invited for a one-day conference on tribal themes. So far there is an encouraging response from all these intellectuals and there have been fruitful intellectual deliberations and future plannings for the benefit of the tribal.
Just as a Light House on the sea guides the ships and boats traveling in the sea during night, so also the tribal intellectuals are viewed by the tribal people as a Light House for them who can show them the way to progress. The main programs of the Light House Conferences have been mainly presentation of tribal research papers, release of books by participants, publication of tribal magazine, discussions on various tribal matters etc. They will be eventually widened as we progress.
